Senior Year
Senior Year
Looking back and can't believe I've made it this far
I went through so fast you couldn't see me on the radar
Many ideas, light bulbs going off brighter than a star
I remember when I started golfing just hoping for par
Man I was so young, an oblivious intellectual
Now I'm on a schedule man, kind of like a ritual
Occasionally slacking, but it's not habitual
Because I keep my grades up, I'm a B average student
Do most of my homework and I stay real prudent
Living up senior year, enjoying every minute
High school is tough, do your best while you’re in it....
I'm anxious to upgrade and get a college education
High school is old school, like some old PlayStation
All that stress, drama, and the people full of tension
And the horrible lunch food not to mention
But Honestly I'll miss it all, regard-less
Because there's something about it just makes me restless
Going through the hallways, heading to my next class
Man these last few years all went by so fast
Bout to have fun this summer, gotta make it last
No regrets because I live in the present not the past
Can't remember a single thing from sophomore year
Bout to start the next chapter of life man no fear
Staying strong now, you won't see me shed a tear
But in the end my future is hopefully cloudless
Gonna experience life, going to be a success
It's senior year, and it's coming to an end
Used to be anxious to get out and be an adult
Now that I am it feels like it's all just pretend
But the hardest part of ending is starting again
